The Return of Das Iron Fesh!

Yessss....
I've been off my weight training for a while now mainly because of back trouble. But I'm back baby! Last Friday I marched into the gym with my work-out playlist ready on my uberPod and all!

Of course I spent yesterday, sore like hell, in bed. But I'm off to the gym again now... woho! Oh and I revisited my new year's resolutions and I'm doing quite well on 4 out of the 7. Another woho!

Given Fesh is a he.. he, unlike das Boot, for example, would be worthy of a DER 'pre-nominal' - Der Iron Man sounds much more Germanized and gross(!). You can also try the ultimate version: Der Eiserne Fesh if you want to sound totally German.

If you're still wondering why Germans have 4 grammatical cases - my guess would be that this is because of the proximity to the Wastelands whose inhabitants are known to use 7(!) cases. In fact, I 'm not a big fan of the cases either and love English for that matter.

Exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxcellent... my trials to lure Ze German Speakers to a blog that talks about the Wastelands has succeeded!

What do you know, history does repeat itself! But this time it took Ze German Speakers more than 4 weeks to come! :D

This reminds me of the uber guide on how to learn to speak German in 5(!) simple steps - targeted to the users of English. A bit old but makes me laught every time I read it. Beasides , it can provide your blog with some more precious 'German' keywords.

Enjoy!

"The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British
Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

1. In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

2. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the second year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

3. In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

4. By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

5. During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl.

Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.

Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.

If zis mad you smil, pleas pas on to oza pepl. !"
